Composers' Birthdays

        As my readers have surely noticed, I have begun this year, 2010, off by paying a little tribute to some select composers in commemoration of their birthdays. I've chosen a small group of artists to honor with a short bit of information about their lives, when and where they were born and died, how old they would be today, and a cheers to them and their music. Seeing as how the details of a composer's life and works do not change with the years after their death it would be pointless to restate facts about them every year. So, this year I will let my readers know of some birthdays and if one should feel so compelled they may mark their calendar for next year and the years to come. I'm hoping to give everyone a little background on some great musical masters and an idea of just how long their music has withstood the tests of time. I hope everyone enjoys.
